I'd stopped by a few shops and I didn't feel very at ease at any of them. The wannabe 'badass' attitudes were big turnoffs. However, The Inkwell is an amazing atmosphere to get your body pierced, inked, or otherwise modded in any way. Very cool staff. Kate is professional and hilarious too. Wish I was back in WV so Kate could ink me a bit more. A few weeks back, I got a very personal tattoo done on my wrist – my first one to be exact. She is wonderful. I wish I had never gotten another tattoo done unless it was by Kate. I will only go to her shop from here on out. Having this tattoo done to represent my three girls means alot to me. To have some one know that you care so much about what is being put on you and the meaning behind it, is great. I had heard things about other tattoo shops here in Beckley and I wasnt at all thrilled with what I had heard. But when my fello EMS buddies recomended me to go see Kate.. I was still nervous, but I went anyway ( and I am so glad that I did ) I think she may have know that I was nervous when I walked in lol. However her kindness and great personality helped me get over my fear and she gave me a great tattoo, so after I got my first one.. 6 months later I went back to her to get my 2nd, and well… Im getting ready to head back to get my 3rd… She does awsome work !! Ihave several more that I would like to get done, and she is the only one that I trust to do them for me. She is very clean, friendly, and does tell you what she is doing as she does it.
