She did a custom tattoo below my left elbow. I love it and a lot of people ask me where I got the work done. I would send anyone to Kate. I had heard things about other tattoo shops here in Beckley and I wasnt at all thrilled with what I had heard. But when my fello EMS buddies recomended me to go see Kate.. I was still nervous, but I went anyway ( and I am so glad that I did ) I think she may have know that I was nervous when I walked in lol. However her kindness and great personality helped me get over my fear and she gave me a great tattoo, so after I got my first one.. 6 months later I went back to her to get my 2nd, and well... Ihave several more that I would like to get done, and she is the only one that I trust to do them for me. She is very clean, friendly, and does tell you what she is doing as she does it. Stepping into The Inkwell was a bit of a culture shock for me. I expected all studios to be like the few I had been in previously; a little seedy feeling, and a little intimidating. I felt none of that at The Inkwell. I stepped into a bright, cheery studio that actually felt welcoming. Even before I decided to get a tat, I always felt welcome there. I would go with my wife and daughters when they got work, and really enjoyed those experiences. Kate and her staff exude the easy manner that comes from true competence and professionalism. The Inkwell was the only studio I even remotely considered for my first tat. And, as long as Kate is there, The Inkwell will be the only place I consider for any more.
